During the recent 2018 Student Undergraduate Research and Creative Arts (SURCA) exposition, many SMB students and SMB labs were well represented.  Award winners included:

• Grace Carrell, Crimson Award, working with SMB mentor Alan Goodman
• Pierce Claassen, Gray Award, working with SMB mentors Amanda Brinkworth and Rey Carabeo
• Gerardo Herrera Birrueta, Gray Award, working with SMB mentor Wipawee Winuthayanon
• Zachary Howard (SMB STARS), Gray Award, working with CVM mentor Anders Omsland
